asec-logo.jpgA.S.E.C. (Action Sports Environmental Coalition) was founded in 2001 by Frank Scura, Bob Burnquist, Jen O’Brien and Damon Way and is supported by action-sports athletes, industry leaders and natural-products companies that aim to answer the question: “What would happen if the action sports industry became a role model for sustainability?” ASEC specializes in progressive eco-education and empowering people to adopt a sustainable lifestyle in a way that embraces their existing lifestyle and enhances it. The Coalition also works to inspire the action-sports industry and its participants to value and take action toward social and environmental responsibility. That goal is achieved through many different programs, each providing an exciting environment in which to learn. Members include Danny Way, Geoff Rowley, Rob Machado, Cara Beth Burnside and hundreds of other athletes; company supporters include Quicksilver, Hurley, Planet Earth, Element, Etnies, Volcom, Whole Foods, Stonyfield Farm, Clif Bar, Silk; Avalon/Alba, progressive automaker Toyota and many, many other high integrity brands.  For more information, please visit http://asecaction.org
